Tina Wu is a scholar, entrepreneur, actress and a Wildcat at heart. Tina grew up in Arizona and attended University of Arizona, where she won every academic award ever invented including being named “1 of the 200 brightest, most industrious minds” by Time Magazine. An entrepreneur and healthcare advocate at heart, she founded and led an award-winning healthcare organization that provides HIV/AIDS prevention programs in East Africa. She served as the American Medical Student Association’s Global AIDS Fellow, educating large groups of physicians in training and policymakers. She graduated from Harvard Business School in 2009, and is currently completing her 4th year of Medical School at UCLA.
What you may not know or guess about Tina: She loves the outdoors, having climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and rafted on the Nile River. She also has a glamorous side, having starred in several plays and appeared in several television shows and movies. She loves her Mac and her iPhone. She has been published 17 times (well you probably would have guessed that). She once got kicked out of a country club for wearing jeans. And, above all else, she loves helping patients, trying new foods, and visiting her boyfriend in NY when she has a chance.
